We have a tile in the new Directory that we can use to promote Webmaker. Attached are NEW updated partner specs from the Tiles team (NOTE: they've been updated since the first round).

We could feasibly just use one of the many designs from the first round for Webmaker:

But we should check to see if it meets the new specs. Or, we can use the expanded specs to come up with a new design.

Deadline: August 15 possible? Maybe sooner if we just recycle a design.

Sabrina I got feedback from our Tiles team (thoughts?):

Hi Andrea,

Yes! This will work. Thank you.

I've attached an updated comp. However, I'm reluctant to make the background blue because A.) it would like almost exactly like the proposed Gmail tile, and B.) I plan on presenting Firefox product logos uniformly on a light background. I want to ensure brand consistency, and a straight-forward approach is probably the best way to do deploy smoothly.

Let me know if the Designer has any serious objections,

Here are some thoughts:

- The Webmaker navy blue doesn't look like the gmail's blue (or we can use Webmaker's primary brand colour green) see example: https://www.dropbox.com/s/kjs7izcm3qir5do/MozillaDirectoryTiles_BrandColoursBGcomp.jpg

- Webmaker may be unique and not a firefox product but rather a mozilla project? and being consistent with Webmaker's brand colours (green or navy blue) could provide more visual contrast to the logo since it is a white circle.

I am unsure how these tiles work together on a holistic level with the other tiles but it makes sense to be uniform with the rest of the products to strengthen brand consistency and impact so this is up to you and the tiles team.

Was there supposed to be a color to go with the webmaker logo? Right now on rollover, it shows the logo on white background.

Sabrina (the designer) recommended Webmaker colors for background but the Tiles team over-road the recommendation and updated the design to a light background. Since Webmaker is not a Firefox product, I'm not clear on why it was changed to conform to Firefox brand standards myself. In any case, I have handed off management of the Foundation tiles to Paul Johnson, Marketing Lead. I added him to this bug.

I think there is an overlap of this bug and this bug 1054460 since Paul gave me direction for the rollover image to be this attachment 8484559 [details] . I'm a bit confused but let me know how I can help.

I'm a bit confused too. My understanding was that we were now using the updated design from bug 1054460. That's the version we'd like included for all instances of the Webmaker tile going forward.
